China's Xinhua: US approach to trade talks "regrettable"

China's Xinhua news agency has reportedly called US' approach to trade dispute as regrettable, adding further that consultation is the correct way to solve the issues. 

"Regarding the China-U.S. trade war, China has always been reluctant to fight, but is not afraid to fight, and will fight when necessary", the official nnews agency has said. 

President Trump revived trade tensionns on Sunday by tweeting that he would raise tariffs on $200 worth of Chinese goods on Friday to 25% from the current 10%.
