Riksbank meeting minutes in the limelight - TDS

Analysts at TDS suggest that today we get the minutes from last week’s Riksbank meeting, which the Riksbank as of this year are now releasing with only a 10-day lag compared with about two weeks previously and will be keenly watched by investors.

Key Quotes

“In the press conference following the decision, Deputy Governor Jansson told us that the Riksbank did discuss pushing back the first rate hike. So we’ll be keeping an especially close eye on that discussion. We’re curious to see how widespread it was (whether it was just Deputy Governor Jansson in favour or if others were on the fence as well), and what kind of conditions need to be met (or missed) in order to push back that rate hike. Also, comments from week from Deputy Governor Floden suggested that the Riksbank has yet to decide on the size of eventual rate hikes, so we'll be watching for any discussion along those lines as well.”
