Inflation target out of reach in 2 years – BoJ’s Sato

Takehiro Sato, member of the Policy Board of the BoJ, has argued that reaching the inflation target in two year’s time remains out of reality.

In previous comments, Sato has also criticized the current monetary policy, deeming it as inappropriate to defeat the persistent low inflation.
