Greek creditors meet in Berlin to discuss situation

FXStreet (Córdoba) - According to media reports, ECB President, Mario Draghi, and IMF Chief, Christine Lagarde will join Angela Merkel (Germany), Francois Hollande (France) and Jean-Claude Juncker (European Commission) in Berlin tonight to discuss Greek crisis.

According to people familiar with the matter, the goal of the meeting was to reach a joint position on how to negotiate with Greece. Reports suggest the leaders will develop a proposal to avoid a Greek default and a potential Grexit. A statement might be released following tonight’s meeting in Berlin.

Greece and its lenders have been discussing an agreement for five months now. However, the deadlock persists amid disagreements over pensions and labor conditions.
