FXStreet (Edinburgh) - Strategist at Westpac Imre Speizer remains neutral on the pair in the very near term although he believes it could drop towards 0.7100 by June.
Key Quotes
“We are neutral on NZD/USD for the week ahead but retain negative biases further out”.
“Another weak dairy auction (supply related) next week would hurt the NZD on the day but either a neutral or stronger US dollar is required for follow through”.
“Further ahead, NZD bears will have more to latch onto: the Q1 CPI data on 20 April, and possibly some RBNZ rhetoric against the high NZD TWI. We target 0.7100 by June”.
